We are always on the hunt for new and experienced referees alike. Whether you are a seasoned soccer referee, a seasoned referee from another sport, or, completely new to officiating we need you! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
Refereeing is both a fun and exciting experience. Many of our referees are soccer players themselves who referee to further enhance their own love and appreciation for the game. All of our referees have a desire to assist younger players in their understanding of the rules of the game and are their to make sure games are fair and safe for all those involved.
Eastgate Soccer awards its referees fees for each game officiated. The fee schedule is as follows:

The new registration process will automatically generate an account for each referee which will allow you to manage your entire referee duties on-line at the CHSS league website.
Specific features include:
- Access all your training materials on-line
- View and request league games
- Manage your game assignments
- Communicate with your district assignor on-line
- On-line game schedules
Your first step is to register at the District level. Please note: there are separate registrations for adult and youth referees. Please be sure to register in the right one! Upon completion of the district level registration, you will be provided everything you need to move on to the League level.
Certification Class
CHSS requires new referees and existing referees to attend a certification class every year. Referees must then pass the test with a minimum score of 80%.
Certification class date, time and location take will be posted on this website under the "News" section of the main page. It will also be emailed out to all referees by the referee coordinator.
Additional Guidelines
In addition CHSS requires referees to read and adhere to the referee guidelines. These guidelines can be found here on the CHSS website.
Referees must be at least 12 years of age and must have completed 6th grade.
