Trash Policy - Clean up after
yourself.
All-
PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure your team is picking up the trash they leave
on the fields after practice.
The township does not stop to pick up the trash on the
fields before the mow the grass. Part of the agreement
with Eastgate Soccer using Clepper Park is that we will
clean up after ourselves.
We are not doing a good job. There is a lot of shredded
debris on the soccer fields from cans, bottles, etc
being left on the fields. Not only does this look bad,
but it can also injure our children.
Please remind your families to pick trash up & carry it
to one of the garbage cans up by the concession stand.
If we do not keep Clepper Park clean, we risk losing our
fields.
Thanks, From The Board

Rainouts.
Rainouts can only be called by the District Field
coordinator or Board member.
Coaches can not dictate whether or not a game
should or should not be played.
In the event of
rainout conditions, the field conditions will be posted to
the Cincinnati Hills website and a call will be sent to all
head and assistant coaches if field conditions warrant the
fields to be closed.
Coaches will then be responsible for contacting
parents. Home
coaches need to contact visiting district if Clepper Park
fields close due to poor field conditions.

Coach Certification.
Cincinnati Hills SAY Soccer requires all coaches to be SAY
certified (attending a clinic at each playing level) and
each coach must complete the volunteer risk assessment form
on-line at
http://www.cincinnatihillssaysoccer.org/forms.asp
or here at
http://www.cincinnatihillssaysoccer.org/volunteerapp.asp
Coach clinics are generally scheduled once before each
season. Your district representative will likely announce
these dates/times during the pre-season coaches meeting and
via email.
If you absolutely can not attend the SAY
certified coaching clinic on the announced date and time
please contact the Eastgate Coach Coordinator at
coachcoordinator@eastgatesoccer.org
for an alternative clinic to attend.
This clinic must
be taken before every season.
Failure to take the clinic will result in the inability to
coach a SAY team.
The coaches clinic can be waived if
a coach possesses one of the following certifications:
- USSF "F","E","D" license or any
National License (www.osysa.com) or (www.ussf.com for
"A","B","C" national courses).
- NSCAA State, Regional,
National Diplomas or the NSCAA National Youth
Diploma (www.nscaa.com).
-
USYSA National Youth License (www.ussf.com).
-
The FA online Psychology for Soccer Course
(www.thefa.com).
If you have any of these diplomas please forward a copy
to the Cincinnati Hills SAY director of coaching one week
prior to the coaches clinic.

You are an example!.
As a coach your attitude on and off the field
is a powerful one.
If your attitude is one that is
positive, fair, respectful and responsible you can expect
the same from your players and their parents.
If
your attitude is negative, disrespectful, irresponsible and
generally one of poor sportsmanship you can not expect any
better from your players or their parents.
A coach
is responsible for both the conduct of their players and
their parents. The example you give both on and off the
field is the one your players will often follow.

Treatment of Referees.
Eastgate wants coaches to pay particular
attention to referees - especially young referees. Like the
players you are coaching they are also developing and
learning. A coach should never
shout at a referee or be verbally abusive. Shouting at a
young referee will cause just as much damage, if not more,
as if that coach were shouting at their own players. It also
teaches your own players to be disrespectful and to conduct
themselves with poor sportsmanship.
If you feel
there were any bad calls made we ask that coaches politely
and calmly address these with the referee at the end of the
game. Do not interfere with the referee during the game on
what you consider a bad call.
If you feel the
referee was biased, unfit or incompetent we ask they you
address the issue with the referee coordinator (refereecoordinator@eastgatesoccer.org).
We ask that you introduce yourself to the referees
at the beginning of the game and ask that you offer
encouragement, thanks and appreciation at the end of the
game.
As a coach you can also play
an important role in that young referees development by
offering constructive post-game
comments.
We do not want to hear of any more young
referees leave the profession and even the sport because of
an abusive coach!
